I've been trying to surf but with my board it's impossible. It's so unstable, there are even dents and what looks to be holes in it. I might have to invest in one. Today I got plowed by waves but it was amazing and I improved a little which was all I wanted. After getting some more colour I am feeling more confident about wearing my tiny red tong bikini and another brazilian bikini I bought the other day, I caught a guy a guy across the beach looking in my direction and he gave me a thumps up :S
On another level. this has been a really big step for me in life. For once don't have any distractions. I have made a bunch of friends, the locals and girls from America who have lived here at OM-the yoga studio for a few years. we all share clothes, make up, advice and talk a lot about guys. Here in Puerto Viejo there are some beautiful men. I also have some guy friends too, surfer boys on the beach who always try to make plans but unless it involves water or beach sports I'm not interested.
Anyways so there's this older man Clint, who I've mentioned before whose about 45-50. Very intelligent and a man of many talents, I traded him dinner the other night, I cooked gnocchi gorgonzola with bacon bits and mushrooms and he made us some sangrias, followed by a whole body adjustment and massage. He is an INCREDIBLE massage therapist. I love trading skills with people, it's so rewarding. He gets to eat and I get readjusted, it's awesome!
In general I just love Costa Rica. The people are beautiful and full of passion. It's a sexy place for sure. I mean there is a ton of other stuff to say on a deeper level about what I'm learning and taking in but I'll save that for another time maybe. For right now, some of the same things I've said before are really sticking with me:
Activity doesn't necessarily mean productivity. Take pleasure in taking time with yourself, love yourself and do nothing. When people feel the consistent need to go do things, tasks, chores, work, exercise etc., they miss the beauty which lies within themselves at the core. That's a pretty general statement but anyway, I'm trying to relax more.
Take risks. This is harder and more complicated than just taking a risk. First you have to believe in yourself and really commit to whatever it is that you want.
F A C T : Cámelo Bikinis is hands down my favourite bikini brand I've found for my body type. Originating in Jaco, Costa Rica - I believe there is only one Cámelo shop in the town but the bikinis are also sold at other locations around this beautiful country. Lot's of styles to suit your purpose whether sun tanning, hanging out or surfing.
